Nea Chora – it means: new city. The new Chania was built in the 18th century – outside the walls of the Venetian fortress. So it was during this period that the development of modern Chania began. This is Chania`s beach, where people can swim.

The city bus public transport is excellent in Chania. The Nea Chora, the former fishing port, today it has a beautiful sandy beach.
