PALAIOCHORA

PACHIA AMMOS BEACH

The magnificent coast of Palaiochora begins at the bottom of the hill below the fort. In this part of the coast, smaller, larger rocks rise out of the sandy shore. The central part of the beach is a 700-meter-long stretch of white sand.

GPS is very important! – because there are no street names in Western Crete.

GPS: 35.234918, 23.676563

Attention:

– the beach faces south, so the sunbeams pamper the beach from early in the morning

– in summer, the sand is very hot

– without slippers or footwear can cause burns, please pay attention to this

– the wet rocks at the edge of the coast (especially when there is a tide or low tide) they are slippery! – using the right footwear can prevent accidents!

The BLUE FLAG is a guarantee for the purity of seawater and the high quality of coastal services.
