The ruins of the ancient church of Artemis

The Katholiko Monastery was built inside the gorge.
In this part is the Cave of St. John the Hermit. The second section of the road leads to this part.
If we continue walk from the cave, we will arrive after a 30–40-minute walk.
[swpm_protected format_protected_msg=”1″] The second section is steeper, but completely safe. The road offers scenic views across the hills, and to Katholiko beach.
The exit to the gorge is a unique but interesting tiny fjord. Here is the Katholiko beach.
This was a very important place for the monks, because to moor by boat: could only be in this part. Therefore, a small port was established in this part. The ships were repaired here. [/swpm_protected]
